Black Bean Brownies: Good Try, Epic Disaster


Our first epic fail involved some unusual ingredients. With all this cooking, the contessas wanted to watch their weight! Let's keep a healthy diet in mind, right? So, we scoped the internet for some inspiration. Everyone likes brownies... now how to make them healthy? We found the answer: Black Bean Brownies. Just the name itself seems a  little off the beaten track, but that didn't mean it would be bad right? Didn't Robert Frost say we shall take the road less traveled? Who knows, maybe we would discover gold. We had high hopes... but they could only go so far. The Black Bean brownies had an unusual wet consistency even after they were cooked. When tasting, you could definitely taste the black beans - which overshadowed the chocolate. We put in a banana, oats, black beans, cinnamon, sugar, and cocoa. We looked up the nutritional value for the brownies. Calories were low, but fiber % was a little too high for our liking.... and our digestive system. Enough said yall.

  1. Hey! I'm in a class with Mason and she got me hooked on y'alls blog! But I heard using Diet Coke when you make brownies is delicious..I'm pretty sure you just mix diet coke with the mix and bake. Y'all should try it out!
